During the session, Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan and Khaira clashed after the latter's repeated attempts to address the house went unheeded. Sandhwan emphasized that it was his discretion to decide who could speak, while Khaira and his supporters accused the Speaker of harboring a grudge.

The disagreement escalated as Leader of Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa backed Khaira, arguing for his right to speak on important issues.
