Rajeev Chandrasekhar, former Union Minister and technocrat-turned-politician, has taken charge as the BJP's state president in Kerala. His primary objective is to establish an NDA government in a region where CPI(M)-led LDF and Congress-led UDF have historically been dominant forces.
Addressing party workers, Chandrasekhar expressed gratitude towards the BJP high command—Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP national president J P Nadda—for entrusting him with this significant role. He commended the dedication of past state presidents and party supporters as crucial to his mission's success.
Chandrasekhar criticized the current Left government's reliance on loans and the persistent lack of development.
