Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya expressed confidence on Monday that the BJP will replicate its 2017 success in the upcoming 2027 Assembly elections, as the party celebrated its eight-year governance milestone in Uttar Pradesh. In an interview with ANI, Maurya stated that the Samajwadi Party, Congress, and BSP will have no political future in the state by the year 2047.
BJP rose to power in Uttar Pradesh in 2017, and as of 2025, it has completed eight years of governance. Maurya lauded the transformation and development that has touched the lives of 25 crore citizens in the state, emphasizing the unparalleled progress and welfare opportunities achieved under BJP's administration. The Deputy CM confidently claimed that the party would secure victory again in the 2027 elections and maintain governance for a third successive term.
Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath underscored the achievements of his leadership, marking eight years of 'service, safety, and good governance' under Prime Minister Modi. Addressing a special program attended by ministers, including Deputy CM Maurya, Adityanath thanked the citizens of Uttar Pradesh for their support. He juxtaposed the current state of affairs with previous governments, pointing out an identity crisis and poor infrastructure and economy prior to BJP's tenure, noting significant improvements since then.
