In her address to the Chhattisgarh legislative assembly, President Droupadi Murmu expressed optimism about the state's progress in combating Left Wing Extremism. She noted that efforts to integrate affected individuals into mainstream society are nearing completion, predicting a swift end to the Naxal problem.
Praising the assembly for upholding democratic traditions over its 25-year history, President Murmu highlighted the significant female participation in the 2023 elections, urging an increase in women legislators in future assemblies. She stressed the importance of women empowering one another across various fields to fortify societal structures.
President Murmu expressed satisfaction that the Chhattisgarh assembly maintained order without marshals since its inception in 2000. As the assembly celebrated its silver jubilee, key figures including Governor Ramen Deka and Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai extended their gratitude to President Murmu for her presence and encouragement.
