In a wave of parliamentary chaos, Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra hit out at the government on Monday, accusing it of deliberately stalling proceedings in the Lok Sabha. She claimed the government is using various excuses to cause disruptions, leading to repeated adjournments.
The BJP has raised concerns over alleged plans for a new reservation policy for Muslims in Karnataka. Party members claim that Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar suggested changing the Constitution to introduce a four per cent quota for Muslims in government contracts.
However, Shivakumar has firmly denied these allegations, stating he never proposed constitutional amendments for religion-based reservations. The persistent deadlock has left the Lok Sabha in turmoil, with sessions being repeatedly adjourned.
