In a strong condemnation of the former administration, Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh lashed out at the alleged false cases filed against teachers advocating for their rights. Addressing the Assembly, Lokesh reproached the previous YSR Congress Party regime for mandating teachers to maintain a presence outside liquor establishments, marking this as gross negligence towards educational priorities.

Lokesh assured that the current government is determined to correct these wrongs by thoroughly reviewing and dismissing the dubious cases. His critique sheds light on the erstwhile government's 'cruel history' in undermining the educational sector.

Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu engaged in crucial dialogue with Union Minister for Urban Affairs Manohar Lal Khattar. On March 6, they discussed fast-tracking the pivotal Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada Metro Rail projects. Naidu underscored these initiatives as vital to easing urban congestion, unlocking economic potential, and supporting urban mobility. He advocated for the projects' acceleration, referencing Hyderabad's earlier approval and stressing the urgency due to Visakhapatnam's growing congestion and impending Bhogapuram International Airport.

The planned metros aim to link major urban areas, with extensions to strategic sites like the forthcoming airport. In parallel, Vijayawada's planned metro is presented as crucial for reinforcing connectivity and economic dynamism, establishing the city as a critical hub leading to Amaravati. Naidu's appeals for prioritization of these projects highlight a strategic focus on addressing urban challenges and fostering state-wide progress.
