Union Minister Giriraj Singh lashed out at Rashtriya Janata Dal leader and Bihar's Leader of Opposition, Tejashwi Yadav, on Tuesday, following Yadav's critical remarks concerning BJP MLA Haribhushan Thakur's statements. Singh accused Yadav of being arrogant, attributing his demeanor to a perception of political inheritance rather than democratic struggle, pointing out his lineage as the son of previous Bihar Chief Ministers Lalu Yadav and Rabri Devi.

Singh's comments came in reaction to Yadav's sharp criticism of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for his inaction against Thakur's controversial call for Muslims to stay indoors during Holi. Addressing the media on Monday, Yadav questioned the Chief Minister's silence, suggesting Kumar was in an 'unconscious state' while not holding back in scolding women from marginalized communities when they voice their concerns.

Yadav further alleged that the BJP holds significant sway over its ally, JDU, claiming an infiltration of BJP and Sangh ideology within the party. He reiterated Bihar's cultural diversity, highlighting an ethos that celebrates both Hindu and Muslim unity, and asserted that the RJD remains committed to upholding the principles of Lalu Yadav's ideology and the Indian Constitution against any opposing agendas.
