Karnataka's Deputy Chief Minister, D K Shivakumar, has affirmed his commitment to the guidance of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, despite internal power struggles within the party. Shivakumar emphasized the importance of maintaining cohesion with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for the state's development.
Mallikarjun Kharge, during a public meeting in Jewargi, subtly urged both leaders to align their efforts, stating that diverging paths would complicate their objectives. Shivakumar, present on stage, responded affirmatively to Kharge's guidance, acknowledging the role of opposition feedback in their governance.
Union Minister Pralhad Joshi of the BJP seized the opportunity to highlight the internal discord within the Congress, suggesting that Kharge's comments reflect a lack of unity. With speculations over who will present the next state budget—be it Siddaramaiah or Shivakumar—tensions within the party continue to stir debate.
