Heartfelt Farewell: Israelis Mourn Family Killed in Gaza
Thousands of Israelis gathered to mourn the deaths of Shiri Bibas and her two young sons, Ariel and Kfir, who were killed in Gaza. The family was abducted by Hamas, and their bodies were recently released. The conflicting accounts of their deaths have sparked tension.

Thousands of Israelis took to the streets, holding flags and signs stating 'Forgive us,' as they paid their respects to Shiri Bibas and her two children, whose bodies were transported for burial after being killed in Gaza.
Shiri Bibas was kidnapped alongside her sons, Ariel and Kfir, during a raid on their home on Kibbutz Nir Oz on October 7, 2023. The bodies were released last week by Hamas as part of a ceasefire agreement, although there was initial confusion over the identity of Shiri's body.
Her husband, Yarden Bibas, had been held separately and was released earlier. The family will be laid to rest at Kibbutz Nir Oz on Wednesday. Conflicting reports have arisen regarding their deaths, with Hamas claiming they died in an Israeli airstrike, while Israeli authorities assert the children were killed by their captors.
