The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has chosen Rajya Sabha member Sanjeev Arora as its candidate for the Ludhiana West assembly bypoll. This announcement came from the AAP's national general secretary, Sandeep Pathak, via a post on X. However, the official date for the bypoll remains unannounced.
Ludhiana-based industrialist Sanjeev Arora has been serving as a member of the Rajya Sabha since 2022. His nomination follows the vacancy left by the untimely death of AAP MLA Gurpreet Bassi Gogi. Gogi tragically passed away last month after a licensed firearm accidentally discharged at his home.
Reacting to the party's announcement, Arora expressed gratitude toward the AAP leadership for their confidence in him. He expressed a strong desire to serve his hometown community with dedication and sincerity, as he shared in a post on X.
