Samajwadi Party leader Abdullah Azam Khan is on the brink of freedom, set to be released from Hardoi jail on Tuesday after 17 months of incarceration. Supporters and party leaders have gathered eagerly outside the prison in anticipation.
Abdullah, son of senior SP leader Mohammad Azam Khan, faced prosecution in 45 cases over the years. Recently, MP/MLA Special Magistrate Trial Court Judge Shobhit Bansal granted him bail in a case related to enemy property from 2020. Though bail was previously secured in all cases, procedural delays hindered his release.
On Monday, the release order was dispatched to Hardoi jail, clearing the path for Khan's freedom. Among the crowd of supporters was SP leader Ruchi Veera, who emphasized faith in the judiciary, noting that justice had finally been meted out. Despite past delays, party members herald this as a triumph for justice.
