Subhash Yadav, a former Rajya Sabha MP and estranged brother-in-law of RJD president Lalu Prasad, has accused the political leader of connections with kidnapping gangs that operated during RJD's rule in Bihar. The explosive allegations have added fuel to the ongoing political controversies surrounding the party.
Yadav, who parted ways with his sister Rabri Devi and brother-in-law Prasad, claimed during media interactions that the accusations against him were unfounded and retorted that, if evidence existed, he would also be imprisoned, similar to Lalu Prasad in the fodder scam. However, his brother Sadhu Yadav vehemently denied the allegations, accusing Subhash of fabricating stories potentially influenced by political motivations.
The RJD, responding to Subhash's remarks, dismissed them as politically charged. Shakti Yadav, a party spokesman, stated that the RJD supremo's previous comments on political resilience created discomfort among the ruling coalition, leading to baseless allegations. The RJD maintains their belief in their leader's enduring influence despite such controversies.
