Congress leader Alka Lamba has strongly criticized the use of derogatory language against women, labeling it as "low-level politics." Lamba's comments were in response to remarks made by BJP's Ramesh Bidhuri against Delhi Chief Minister Atishi. According to Lamba, Bidhuri's apology was a result of pressure from the BJP, as he has already faced defeat in previous Delhi Assembly Polls.
Lamba emphasized that using such language against women, regardless of party affiliation, is condemnable. She maintained that Bidhuri has effectively lost the political battle, having apologized under duress. Previously, Bidhuri had made offensive comments about CM Atishi's surname and family at a public gathering.
The remarks prompted a strong reaction from AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, who took to social media to condemn the BJP for allegedly crossing "all limits of shamelessness." Kejriwal asserted that the people of Delhi, particularly its women, will not tolerate such behavior and will respond accordingly in the upcoming polls. Meanwhile, Sanjay Singh of AAP shared a video where Bidhuri made controversial comments about Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, which he later retracted, expressing regret.
