Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin has openly criticized State Governor RN Ravi for departing the Assembly without delivering the customary address, labeling the act as childish. He charged Ravi with persistently insulting the people of the state.
Stalin questioned why Governor Ravi remained in his gubernatorial position if he lacked the commitment to fulfill his constitutional duties. This criticism followed Ravi's decision to walk out of the House and refrain from giving his address on the first day of this year's Assembly session.
Highlighting previous instances where Governor Ravi skipped or modified parts of his address, Stalin emphasized that it is a democratic tradition for a Governor to read out the government's address in Assembly. He accused Ravi of a consistent practice of violating this norm.
