Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of orchestrating a 'targeted operation' to delete voters' names from the electoral rolls in the run-up to the upcoming assembly elections.
Singh spearheaded a door-to-door campaign, urging residents to confirm the inclusion of their names in the voters' list, asserting that long-time residents face deletion from records. He alleged this move aims to stop them from accessing government benefits provided by Arvind Kejriwal's administration.
Despite the gravity of Singh's allegations, there has been no response from BJP officials. Singh called for an Election Commission investigation into what he described as a serious conspiracy, sharing media evidence of the affected citizens and emphasizing the importance of safeguarding legitimate voter listings.
