In a developing political controversy, BJP MLA Suresh Dhas has proposed that NCP leader Dhananjay Munde should retain his ministerial position without portfolio until the chargesheet is filed in the murder case involving sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh.
Amidst opposition demands for Munde's removal, due to the arrest of his close associate Walmik Karad in an extortion case, Munde has assured that his role as Minister of Food and Civil Supplies will not interfere with the ongoing investigations.
Dhas expressed concerns over the composition of the special investigation team, highlighting potential biases involving transferred personnel linked to Karad, and called for a review of the team's lower-ranking members.
