The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Karnataka has decided to send copies of a civil contractor's suicide note to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and senior Congress leaders, highlighting Minister Priyank Kharge's involvement. The note named Kharge's aide, Raju Kapanur, as a cause for the suicide, which Kapanur denied.
Leader of Opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Council, Chalavadi Narayanaswamy, announced that the party would not rest until Kharge is removed from the cabinet. Despite the cabinet's support, Narayanaswamy insisted Kharge cannot evade accountability.
State assembly's opposition leader, R Ashoka, criticized the government's hesitance to act against Kharge, insinuating its ties to his familial connection with the AICC President. BJP recalled Kharge's past demands for resignation in similar circumstances, urging him to reflect on his positions.
