Karnataka's political scene intensified as Chief Minister Siddaramaiah rejected the BJP's demand for Minister Priyank Kharge's resignation linked to a contractor's suicide. Union Minister Pralhad Joshi countered by asserting that Siddaramaiah himself is under scrutiny and questioned his capability to urge resignations.
Siddaramaiah dismissed the BJP's claims as politically driven, emphasizing that Priyank Kharge's name does not appear on the contractor's death note, nor is there evidence linking him to the case. Kharge, however, expressed willingness to face any inquiry.
The BJP called for the case to be transferred to the CBI, a demand Siddaramaiah rebuffed by pointing out the BJP's past reluctance to involve the CBI. The controversy continues as both parties debate the issue while tensions escalate among state contractors under the Congress government.
