The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Chief, Mahesh Kumar Goud, has voiced sharp criticism against the Bharat Rashtra Samiti's (BRS) leaders for their recent protest advocating for auto drivers. Goud condemned the protest, calling it a media attention stunt, while questioning BRS's actual contributions to the auto drivers' cause during their decade in power.
Congress leader Rohin Reddy joined in the criticism, targeting BRS's KT Rama Rao for allegedly manufacturing drama instead of addressing real public issues. Reddy insisted that Congress consistently aligns itself with the cause of auto drivers, citing support from nine auto unions.
BRS working president KT Rama Rao led a protest on Wednesday, clad as an auto rickshaw driver, to hold the Congress-led Telangana government accountable for promises made, including a welfare board and financial support for auto drivers, as outlined in their election manifesto.
