Uddhav Thackeray, leader of Shiv Sena (UBT), has criticized Union Home Minister Amit Shah for his remarks on Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, labeling them as a display of the BJP's 'arrogance.' Thackeray has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take action against Shah over the comments.
During a press conference, Thackeray accused the BJP of insulting revered figures of Maharashtra such as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Dr Ambedkar. He claimed that Shah's comments could only have been made with the backing of the BJP and the RSS.
Thackeray challenged the stance of BJP allies, including the Telugu Desam Party and JD(U), on Shah's remarks. Meanwhile, the Congress party has demanded an apology from Shah, alleging that his comments showed a 'lot of hatred' for Ambedkar.
