In a fiery address, Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar took aim at Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis over his recent remarks on countering 'vote jihad' with 'vote dharmyudh'. Speaking at a rally, Kumar questioned if the onus of this ideological battle would fall solely on common citizens, while the children of political figures remain distant from the fray, studying abroad.
Kumar further intensified his attack by speculating on the role of Fadnavis' family in the cultural struggle. He emphasized that if the protection of 'dharma' is indeed essential, it must be a collective effort involving everyone, not just a few.
Highlighting contradictions in Fadnavis' political maneuvers, Kumar questioned the BJP's alliance choices, notably its partnership with factions it previously labeled corrupt. The Congress candidate Prafulla Gudhade Patil is contesting against Fadnavis in the Nagpur South West seat.
