In a dramatic turn of events, Congress councillor Sabila Begum resigned from the party and announced her intention to support the AAP nominee, a decision made public through her husband's post on X. The elections, initially scheduled for April, faced delays due to power struggles between AAP and BJP, and the forthcoming mayor is expected to serve a reduced term of only five months.
