Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K T Rama Rao, known as KTR, has asserted that defections from his party have ceased and positioned the ruling Congress in Telangana as their main adversary. He declared his willingness to face any inquiry into controversies surrounding the Formula-E race.

In an interview with PTI, KTR addressed allegations of diverting Rs 55 crore to a Formula-E racing company without appropriate cabinet approval. Dismissing the probe as a distraction by the Congress, KTR shifted the focus on the government's implementation of electoral promises rather than on his father's, K Chandrashekar Rao, absence from legislative matters.

KTR acknowledged communication shortcomings in BRS's recent assembly poll defeat, despite significant job creation and salary hikes during their governance. He downplayed BJP's influence and criticized both state Congress governance and potential conflicts of interest, paralleling cases in Karnataka and Jharkhand.
