In a display of electoral confidence, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has declared that the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) is poised to win the Maharashtra Assembly elections, promising to deliver a more effective government. Kharge emphasized the favorable political environment for Congress and MVA while highlighting the influence of Rahul Gandhi.
Kharge took aim at the BJP, noting that the repeated visits by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other party leaders suggest a nervous approach to the impending polls. He characterized the current Mahayuti government as one lacking ideological foundation, created through political strategy rather than genuine consensus.
The campaign heats up as Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde accused the MVA of mismanaging the state during their tenure. He highlighted halted projects and alleged financial misconduct, defending his own government's focus on development and community welfare.
