The political climate in Rajasthan intensified after an explosive incident in the Deoli-Uniara assembly constituency, where Independent MLA Naresh Meena was accused of slapping Malpura Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Amit Chaudhary. This has raised serious concerns over the state's law and order situation.
Congress veteran Ashok Gehlot has seized this opportunity to criticize the ruling BJP, asserting that the credibility of the state police has diminished, leading to lawlessness. Gehlot questioned the audacity of Naresh Meena in attacking a government official, labeling the incident as a significant breakdown in governance.
Meanwhile, as the violence unfolded, the local authorities have been active in taking preventive measures. Inspector General Om Prakash reported that over 60 arrests have been made, with several police personnel injured amidst the chaos. He assured that stringent action will be enforced against those responsible, amid claims of political conspiracy and local tensions.
