The opposition Congress in Goa has leveled serious allegations against the BJP, accusing the state government of being embroiled in a cash-for-jobs scam.
Addressing a press conference, Congress leader Amit Patkar demanded the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the claims and said 18 people had been arrested in connection with the scandal.
The Congress party is threatening to intensify its protests if an SIT is not constituted. Accusations include the collection of bribes for government positions, with Patkar claiming the BJP is attempting to cover up the situation like the infamous Vyapam scam in Madhya Pradesh.
