Supreme Court Advises NCP Factions Amid Maharashtra Polls

The Supreme Court advised the faction led by Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister, Ajit Pawar, to refrain from using the image of Sharad Pawar in their poll campaigns due to existing ideological differences.
The bench, comprising Justices Surya Kant and Ujjal Bhuyan, emphasized the need for both factions of the Nationalist Congress Party to concentrate on the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections rather than engaging in courtroom disputes.
Highlighting the issue of the contentious 'clock' election symbol, the court instructed the Ajit Pawar faction to include disclaimers, underlining that the symbol's allocation is still under judicial consideration.
