As the political battlegrounds heat up, Jharkhand, Wayanad in Kerala, and 33 assembly seats across 11 states are set to witness fierce electoral contests. In Jharkhand, the BJP-led NDA is challenging the JMM-led coalition in a two-phase election, while bypolls promise tight races in various constituencies.

Marking her foray into electoral politics, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra contests the Wayanad bypoll, a seat previously secured by her brother Rahul Gandhi. As Rahul retains his Raebareli stronghold, Priyanka goes head-to-head with LDF's Satyan Mokeri and BJP's Navya Haridas, with Rahu Gandhi also canvassing support.

Security is paramount for the Jharkhand assembly polls, scheduled for November 13 and 20, with 43 seats up for grabs in the first phase. The election machinery is geared up, with mock polls commencing early and comprehensive arrangements ensuring seamless polling, guided by stringent Election Commission regulations.

Notable candidates include former Chief Minister Champai Soren for BJP in Seraikella and Congress's Ajoy Kumar in Jamshedpur East. The political scene in Jamshedpur West is heating up as Banna Gupta of Congress faces JD(U)'s Saryu Roy, while in Ranchi, JMM's Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Maji represents her party.

The rest of Jharkhand will vote on November 20, with results due on November 23. The last assembly elections saw JMM with 30 seats, BJP with 25, and Congress holding 16. Over 200 security companies are tasked with maintaining election dignity as 683 candidates, including 73 women, contest in the first phase.

Additionally, bypolls in 33 seats, including critical races in Rajasthan, West Bengal, and Assam, are capturing political attention. Notably, West Bengal and Assam's high-stakes elections in seats like Naihati, Medinipur, and Sidli are closely watched. Meanwhile, Maharashtra's assembly polls and remaining bypolls linger on the electoral horizon.
