In a fiery address, Prime Minister Narendra Modi slammed the Congress while campaigning in poll-bound Maharashtra, charging the opposition with allegedly looting funds in Karnataka to finance electoral battles in Maharashtra. Speaking to supporters, Modi underscored the achievements of the BJP-led 'double-engine' government, emphasizing its unwavering commitment to the middle-class sector in Maharashtra and Pune.

Modi cautioned against backing the Congress, stating, 'To save Maharashtra, Congress must be kept at bay.' He accused the Congress of deceit in Karnataka, where he claimed they have reneged on promises and are engaged in extensive corruption schemes. Allegations were made that such illicit activities are funding Congress's electoral campaign in Maharashtra.

Turning to development, Modi emphasized the strides in infrastructure and industry in Pune, declaring it a key beneficiary in India's exponential FDI growth. Praising Pune's longstanding support of BJP's ideology, Modi assured voters that under BJP's rule, the region would see unprecedented development in the next five years. He expressed confidence in his coalition's success against the Maha Vikas Aghadi in the upcoming assembly elections.
