In a heated political exchange, Karnataka Minister B Z Zameer Ahmed Khan has come under fire for referring to Union Minister H D Kumaraswamy with a derogatory racial term. This controversy has intensified political tensions, with the JD(S) calling for Khan's immediate dismissal from the Cabinet for his remarks.
The incident arose during an election rally in Ramanagara, where Khan addressed the local minorities. He criticized the Channapatna Congress candidate C P Yogeeshwara for previously joining the BJP, claiming it was due to differences within the party and a reluctance to collaborate with Kumaraswamy, whom he described as 'more dangerous than the BJP.'
Further stoking the flames, Khan accused Kumaraswamy of not valuing Muslim votes, playing an audio clip purportedly of Kumaraswamy making such statements. The JD(S) and other political figures, including Kiren Rijiju, condemned Khan's remarks, describing them as racially insensitive.
