The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched a scathing attack on Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, accusing him of making anti-Hindu comments. BJP leader Pradeep Bhandari condemned Kharge's remarks about Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and criticized the Congress party's stance against Sanatana Dharma.

In a statement to ANI, Bhandari claimed, "Mallikarjun Kharge harbors animosity towards Sanatana Dharma and has previously used terms like 'saffron terrorism' due to his disdain for saffron." He further alleged that Congress is troubled by elements associated with Hindu traditions, suggesting that the party's acceptance of Muslim votebanks influences its policies.

BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla supported Bhandari's accusations, warning that the Congress's DNA is "anti-Hindu" and "anti-Sanatan." Poonawalla questioned the party's additional remarks on religious leaders, emphasizing the perceived bias in Congress's discourse and its impact on Hindu sentiments.
