Chief Minister Omar Abdullah shared a glimpse of his impromptu road journey from Srinagar to Jammu, undertaken due to flight cancellations caused by poor visibility. On Monday, Abdullah posted videos of his journey after 11 flights were canceled on Sunday and another was dropped due to technical issues, according to airport officials.
With visibility remaining low, Abdullah opted for a road trip to the winter capital, stating, "Nothing flew in to or out from Jammu yesterday." He expressed concerns over the ongoing conditions, suggesting flights might remain affected. By Monday morning, airport operations resumed as scheduled, informed by airport authorities.
This visit marked Abdullah's first working day in the Jammu civil secretariat since assuming office on October 16. His arrival was notably welcomed by government employees, aligning with previous directives for bureaucrats to report to Jammu's Civil Secretariat from November 11 onward.
