Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi took to the campaign trail in poll-bound Jharkhand on Monday, focusing his efforts on garnering support for BJP candidates. Majhi, acknowledged as a key campaign figure, addressed two pivotal public meetings located in the Seraikela-Kharsawan and West Singhbhum districts. These regions are home to a significant Odia-speaking populace, which Majhi aimed to engage during his visit.
Seeking to sway both tribal and Odia voters, Majhi, who belongs to a Santali tribal family, underscored his ethnic connections in his addresses. This strategic outreach in Seraikela and Majhgaon assembly seats is part of Majhi's broader campaign efforts designed to fortify BJP's electoral positioning.
Majhi's campaign efforts are further bolstered by Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and other BJP leaders from Odisha, who are also lending support ahead of the Jharkhand assembly elections scheduled in two phases on November 13 and 20.
