The Congress party has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of centering its election campaign in Jharkhand around communal polarization. Congress criticizes this approach as indicative of the Union government's poor performance over the last decade in power.
Jairam Ramesh, Congress general secretary, stated that the elections on November 13 and 20 would demonstrate public support for the party's message of continuity, social justice, and economic progress. He further emphasized the Congress-led coalition's focus on tangible accomplishments and seven key guarantees to the electorate, including food rations, women's honorariums, and new educational institutions.
Ramesh condemned the BJP's campaign as lacking substantive issues, contrasting it with Congress's vision for a harmonious and prosperous Jharkhand. Additionally, he accused the Prime Minister of failing to deliver ₹1.4 lakh crore in coal royalties owed to the state. The Jharkhand Assembly elections are set for November 13 and 20, with counting on November 23.
