The Janata Dal (United) has criticized the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha-led government, expressing disappointment within the minority community over the coalition's candidate selection in Kolhan's 14 assembly seats.
Gulam Rasool Balyawi, JD(U) national general secretary, questioned the absence of Muslim candidates and the state government's inaction on issues like mob lynching and the non-establishment of a Madrasa Board.
JD(U) has voiced support for its candidate, Saryu Roy, to contest against Minister Banna Gupta, highlighting discontent among minority voters who backed the INDIA bloc in prior elections.
