In a rally held in Maharashtra, senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah spotlighted the achievements of the Modi government, citing the significant financial allocation of over Rs 10 lakh crores for the state's development. He compared this to the considerably smaller amount allocated by the Congress-led UPA during its decade in power.
Shah encouraged voters to back BJP candidate Umesh Atmaramji Yawalkar in the upcoming assembly election, promising to attend Yawalkar's victory event. He criticized the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance, accusing them of failing to deliver on their electoral promises and labeling their guarantees as deceitful and corrupt.
The rally in Amravati comes ahead of the Maharashtra assembly elections set for November 20. Shah's discourse emphasized the BJP's delivery on its promises, such as the abrogation of Article 370 and the introduction of the Citizenship Amendment Act, urging a vote for continued progress under the party's governance.
