Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav fiercely criticized Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren for his election campaigning efforts on Sunday, despite being out on bail. Yadav accused Soren and his alliance with the Congress of exploiting the people of Jharkhand, adding that the electorate would deliver a verdict on November 13, the date of the first phase of voting in the assembly polls.
Yadav invoked the vision of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who dreamed of making Jharkhand a leading state in India. He expressed disappointment at the alleged 'looting' by Congress and JMM and questioned the dignity of a CM who has been jailed. Speaking at a rally in Dumka, Yadav stressed the importance of justice in the polls, linking Jharkhand's legacy to its mythical past with figures like Lord Ram and Krishna.
Further fuelling the political discourse, Yadav accused the Congress-JMM alliance of transforming Jharkhand's capital, Ranchi, into a metaphorical 'Karachi', alluding to its deterioration. With the state assembly elections approaching, Yadav urged constituents to bring BJP back to power to reclaim the city's stature. The elections are scheduled for November 13 and 20, with results on November 23, engaging a voter base of 2.6 crore.
