Congress candidate Priyanka Gandhi Vadra held a roadshow in Wayanad on Sunday, emphasizing her commitment to addressing the demands of the Christian community. Gandhi expressed gratitude for the local support, pledging to fight for the people's demands just as she does for all constituents.
On Saturday, Congress leader Sachin Pilot predicted a "historic victory" for Gandhi, suggesting that her leadership, alongside Rahul Gandhi, would pose significant challenges for the BJP and NDA. Pilot noted a strong unity among Congress and UDF supporters and highlighted widespread optimism about the election results.
Wayanad, a traditional stronghold for Congress, will witness Priyanka Gandhi contesting against BJP's Navya Haridas and Sathyan Mokeri from the Left alliance in the upcoming by-election on November 13. The seat was vacated by Rahul Gandhi, who opted to retain Rae Bareli post his general election victory.
