The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unveiled its election manifesto, 'Sankalp Patra', promising a host of assurances to various segments of society. BJP leader Vinay Sahasrabuddhe underscored the document's comprehensive nature, highlighting its inclusivity for senior citizens and its meticulous preparation via crowdsourced suggestions analyzed by numerous committees.
Sahasrabuddhe pointed out the party's unprecedented focus on senior citizens, reflecting its innovative and future-oriented vision. He mentioned that the manifesto includes a proposal to revisit legal frameworks to combat forced conversions, ensuring protection against coercive practices targeting women.
Launched by Amit Shah and other party leaders in Mumbai, the manifesto outlines several pledges: Rs 2,100 monthly for women, farmer loan waivers, price stabilization, and free grain distribution under the Akshya Anna Yojana. In healthcare, plans include a Vivekananda Youth Health Card and provisions for senior citizens. Infrastructure and entrepreneurship also receive boosts with plans to construct roads in 45,000 villages and offer interest-free loans for startups.
