The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday announced a comprehensive manifesto for Maharashtra, titled 'Sankalp Patra 2024'. Key promises include the enactment of a stringent anti-conversion law, skill census aligned to industry needs, and free rations for low-income families.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah introduced the manifesto in Mumbai. Among the highlights, the financial aid under the Ladki Bahin scheme for women will rise from Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,100 monthly. Additionally, the BJP aims to create 25 lakh jobs and provide stipends to 10 lakh students each month.
The manifesto also outlines Maharashtra's transformation into a technological hub, with new business leaders and lakpati didis emerging through targeted initiatives. Promised developments include advanced aeronautical and space manufacturing centers, and strategic support for farmers.
