Confident in Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) securing a majority in Maharashtra's upcoming assembly elections, former chief minister Prithviraj Chavan emphasized time-honored practices regarding the nomination of the chief minister. Chavan dismissed concerns from Congress's Haryana loss, perceiving them as BJP propaganda.

Comparing dynamics with Haryana, Chavan asserted differences in social makeup and electoral results. He clarified that Maharashtra's diverse regions and their unique social settings do not warrant similar comparisons. MVA's Prithviraj Chavan dispelled rumors of inner conflict among Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), and NCP (SCP) over the seat-sharing agreement.

Despite rebel candidacies, the MVA remains united, announced significant electoral promises, and tackled key concerns like unemployment, inflation, and constitutional attacks. The opposition alliance is poised against the ruling Mahayuti coalition in the November 20 polls.
