Sardar Harsharan Singh Balli, a prominent figure in Delhi politics, has made a significant political move by rejoining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after a four-year association with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). The announcement was made in the presence of Delhi BJP chief Virendraa Sachdeva and other prominent party members.
Balli's return to the BJP marks a noteworthy turn in his political journey, as he initially left the party in January 2020 to associate with AAP, endorsed by then-Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Accompanying Balli in this transition is his son, Sardar Gurmeet Singh 'Rinku' Balli, further adding to the political drama in the capital.
Amid this political reshuffling, tensions continue to simmer between AAP and BJP, particularly concerning the issue of escalating air pollution in Delhi. With both parties at odds, protests have erupted, spotlighting the 108 reported stubble-burning incidents in Punjab. Despite attempts to engage with Punjab's Chief Minister for dialogue, BJP representatives claim the Delhi ministers persist in blaming neighboring states like Haryana and Uttar Pradesh for pollution woes.
