A Trinamool Congress MLA has alleged that the ongoing junior doctors' strike is being influenced by Left parties in West Bengal. Narayan Goswami, MLA from Ashoknagar, spoke about these claims during a public outreach event in North 24 Parganas district.

Originally, the protest was apolitical, sparked by outrage over the alleged rape and murder of a woman doctor from R G Kar Medical College earlier this year. However, Goswami contends that Left parties like CPI(M) have infiltrated the movement.

According to Goswami, acts such as sit-ins by junior doctors and subsequent rallies indicate political manipulation. He also accused the BJP of collaborating with the Left to destabilize the state. Meanwhile, junior doctors maintain their protests remain independent and focused on healthcare reforms and justice.
