Union Home Minister Amit Shah unveiled the Bharatiya Janata Party's 'Sankalp Patra', a manifesto declaring their commitment to Maharashtra's upcoming assembly elections. The event, held on Sunday, was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and other key BJP figures, including State President Chandrashekhar Bawankule and Union Minister Piyush Goyal.
The BJP is poised for the elections alongside allies Shiv Sena, led by Eknath Shinde, and the Nationalist Congress Party under Ajit Pawar, functioning collectively as the Mahayuti alliance. Shah spotlighted the alliance's dedication to uplift farmers, women, and the financially challenged, reflecting public aspirations.
Highlighting India's economic progress, Shah expressed determination to catapult the nation to the third largest economy by 2027, citing strides in infrastructure and social benefits as proof of BJP's developmental agenda. He criticized the opposing Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance for unfulfilled promises and contrasts with BJP's achievements ahead of the assembly showdown on November 20, with vote counting slated for November 23.
