In a move to boost electoral participation, the West Singhbhum district administration in Jharkhand has rolled out home voting facilities for elderly and disabled voters during the assembly elections.
Election dates are set for November 13 and 20, with five constituencies in the district participating in the second phase. Home voting already took place on November 3, 4, 9, and continues today.
The West Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner, Kuldeep Chaudhary, highlighted the Election Commission's efforts in making voting more accessible for citizens aged over 85 and those with disabilities. This initiative simplifies the voting process for over 15,900 eligible voters, with significant participation from centenarians and disabled individuals.
