In a fiery address, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren targeted the BJP's latest election slogan, asserting that the party is headed for defeat in the state assembly elections. Soren, speaking from his residential office, also condemned the timing of income tax raids during the election period.
Reacting to the BJP's slogan, 'Batenge Toh Katenge,' Soren dismissed its implications, suggesting instead that the BJP would face a significant loss, stating, "Here no one is divided nor they will be, but they will be thrashed in the election." He further criticized the nature of the ongoing income tax investigations, implicating a bias linked to political agendas.
The income tax department launched multiple raids on Saturday across Jharkhand, including locations associated with Sunil Shrivastava, an aide to Soren. The operations, spanning nine sites in Ranchi and Jamshedpur, unfolded amidst a backdrop of election campaigning, with CRPF teams providing security support.
