Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched a sharp critique of the Congress Party, claiming that it stands "badly exposed" for making promises it cannot deliver. His comments come in response to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge's recent remarks urging state units to make financially feasible promises.

Modi's discourse portrays a deteriorating scenario in Congress-governed states such as Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, and Telangana, pointing out their declining fiscal and developmental performance. He suggests that the party's legacy is one of "non-governance, poor economics", and that the electorate is increasingly rejecting their approach in favor of stability and progress.

The Prime Minister continued his scathing appraisal by stating that disillusionment grows among the poor, youth, farmers, and women, who reportedly suffer due to unfulfilled promises. Modi accuses the Congress of prioritizing internal politics and "loot" over development, further alleging a rollback of schemes in Karnataka and unmet allowances in Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan.
