Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, making her electoral debut as Congress General Secretary, is poised to begin her campaign for the Wayanad Lok Sabha bypoll on November 3. Alongside her brother, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka will engage in a series of public and corner meetings in the hill constituency.
As per the schedule provided by the Congress party, Priyanka will remain in Kerala until November 7. Her campaign will kick off with a joint public meeting at Gandhi Park, Mananthavady, followed by individual corner meetings across three locations. Meanwhile, Rahul will address a separate gathering at Areekode.
Priyanka's campaign comes amid criticism from opponents who liken her engagement to a 'seasonal festival.' The by-election for the Wayanad seat arises as Rahul Gandhi vacates the constituency. Voting is scheduled for November 13, with local assembly segments deeply divided in political representation.
