Thailand's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maris Sangiampongsa, is scheduled to commence a significant diplomatic visit to India, with engagements planned for early November. As part of his visit, he will meet with Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on November 2.

Arriving on Thursday night, Sangiampongsa has a lineup of diplomatic engagements in India's capital before his meeting at the South Block. The visit, scheduled to end on November 3, underscores the growing bilateral relations between the two nations.

The Thailand-India relationship is bolstered by India's 'Act East' Policy aligning with Thailand's 'Act West' initiative. Conversations will cover political, defense, trade, and cultural ties, emphasizing enhanced cooperation in sub-regional, regional, and multilateral forums.
