Political drama unfolded in Maharashtra as Supriya Sule, leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), labeled remarks made by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar as 'insensitive'. Pawar accused the late state home minister, RR Patil, of ordering an inquiry against him in a multi-crore irrigation scam.
Accusations have been flying with Sule expressing her disappointment in her cousin's comments. She criticized Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis for allegedly showing Pawar a related file when he assumed office in 2014. Sule's response included an apology to Patil's family.
Compounding the situation, former Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan denied ordering any inquiry into the irrigation scam. As political tensions simmer, the NCP prepares for a crucial assembly election in Sangli district.
